Hi, I’m Claire! Four years ago, I quit my job as a doctor.

It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but I knew it was the right one for my family and me. My life and priorities had changed a lot since I started medical school. I’m thankful that I had a program director, mentor, and family who really understood where I was coming from and gave me the support I needed to make the right decision.

After I left medicine, baking was the first thing I had done in a long time that made me feel good. I soon realized I could make others feel good with my baking, too. Nowadays, I feel pretty lucky to be part of so many people’s birthdays, weddings, and family celebrations through my desserts.

Last year we added cocktails to our offerings, and brought on my husband, Zach, to help in the kitchen—he’s our resident cocktail king! I also taught him to make our croissants, and he’s been working hard to keep up with the demand. I’m really happy to have him working with me, and together we feel excited to bring new, interesting experiences to our customers.

You can usually find me in the kitchen at the shop, clothes covered in chocolate or whatever else I’ve been baking (I’m too busy to put on an apron!), laughing, talking, and dreaming up new recipes and designs. When I’m not baking, you can find me reading a good book, sipping a cocktail with my husband, or doing a craft with my son.
